Clarke Williams was a DCI Hall of Fame visual judge who judged at the inaugural DCI Championship in 1972 and served for more than 40 years. He began marching at age 8 with the St. Ann's Cadets of Fairlawn, New Jersey, and later taught drum corps and high school bands before becoming a judge through the Eastern States Judges Association in the 1960s. Inducted into the DCI Hall of Fame in 1999, he was known as the 'gentleman judge' and last judged at the 2013 Open Class World Championship Finals. He died on April 20, 2024 at age 82 after a battle with Parkinson's disease.
