
Lee Carlson
About
Lee Carlson is a visual and general-effect adjudicator and longtime drum corps leader who has served as Artistic Director and Director of Competition for Drum Corps International. A judge for DCI, Bands of America, Winter Guard International, and many circuits for 21 years, he also served four years as a DCI Visual Caption Head and five years as DCI Judges Training Coordinator. For some 40 years he has been the drill designer and color guard instructor for the University of Southern California Trojan Marching Band, and he has instructed the Blue Knights, Argonne Rebels, and Sky Ryders and taught 18 years at Indio High School. He has adjudicated the Drum Corps Japan Championships nine times and wrote for mass bands at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics, the 1986 Statue of Liberty Centennial, and the 1989 French Revolution Bicentennial in Paris.
