Monte Mast is a music adjudicator and arts administrator who recently retired as Executive Director of The Cavaliers AP&E (CAPE), the parent organization of the seven-time DCI champion Cavaliers. He judged for DCI for nearly 20 years across six championship panels and has judged contests in 40 states, including state championships in 12, plus a decade judging indoor guards for the Texas Color Guard Circuit. He spent three years on the Phantom Regiment brass instructional staff, including their first DCI title in 1996, and was named the Texas Music Administrators Conference 2018 Administrator of the Year. He resides in Lafayette, Oregon.
