Mark Waymire
About
Dr. Mark Waymire is a music/general-effect adjudicator, educator, and pageantry designer with over thirty years of experience—fifteen in public schools and fifteen as a university professor, most recently in music education at the University of Southern Mississippi. His drum corps career began as a member of the Phantom Regiment, where he later spent 1987-1992 on the brass and visual staff; he joined the Madison Scouts in 2001 and was brass caption head from 2003 to 2006, was brass caption head for the Glassmen in 2007, and served as Director of Programming and Education for Spirit of Atlanta (2009-2013). He has adjudicated for DCI for over a decade and is an active judge for WGI, BOA, and several state associations; in 2024 he joined the Madison Scouts' design team as program coordinator.
