Richard Saucedo is an internationally renowned composer, arranger, adjudicator, conductor, and clinician, and a member of the Drum Corps International Hall of Fame (2022). He spent 31 years as director of bands at Carmel High School in Indiana, where the Marching Greyhounds finished in the top ten of BOA Grand Nationals for 17 years and were BOA Champions in 2005 and 2012. He began judging drum corps in the mid-1990s, consulted on the Cavaliers' design and instructional teams beginning in 1999 and served as their arranger/composer through 2008, and also wrote for the Spirit of Atlanta and Blue Stars while continuing to judge on the DCI Tour and at World Championships. He was inducted into the Music for All Hall of Fame (2015) and named Indiana Bandmasters' Bandmaster of the Year (1998-99) and IMEA Outstanding Music Educator (2010).
