Robert Solomon is a visual instructor, designer, and adjudicator who has been active in the marching arts since 1979. He played trumpet and was drum major at El Camino Real High School in Woodland Hills, California, then performed in the color guard for the Velvet Knights Drum & Bugle Corps and at California State University, Northridge. He has designed for several top Southern California programs and has judged since 1996 for Winter Guard International, Drum Corps International, Bands of America, and various state and local associations, frequently adjudicating BOA Grand National, WGI, and DCI World Championships. He is based in Los Angeles, where he works as a banker.
